The San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival, November 17-21, is an international showcase of the world's premier wine and spirits producers, chefs and culinary personalities. Fueled by Fast Forward Event Productions, the festival benefits the American Institute of Wine & Food’s culinary arts scholarship program.

Now in its seventh year, the San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival has quickly grown into a world-class wine and culinary extravaganza. The week long festival features wine tasting seminars, cooking classes by James Beard award-winning chefs, and an elegant Reserve Tasting & Silent Auction. The festival culminates on Saturday, November 20 at the star-studded Grand Event featuring over 170 wineries pouring 800 wines, 70 of the city’s top fine dining restaurants, gourmet food .

Held on the magnificent San Diego Bay, the Festival's Grand Tasting event is flanked by a backdrop of sailboats and sandy shores, which perfectly set the event's tone. Chef of the Fest Competition (for Restaurants)
Hosted by The American Culinary Federation

wine_food_festival/ACF_logoThe “Chef of the Fest” competition is an action-packed culinary showdown involving all chefs during the Grand Tasting event on November 20. If you are signed up for the Grand Tasting – you automatically will be judged in “Chef of the Fest”. There is nothing extra required of you, other than to let us know that you want the judges to come by your booth during the Grand Event and judge your cuisine that day. Chefs compete and are judged by the American Culinary Federation. Through a tiered judging process, one chef is selected as the best representation of innovative, fresh, flavorful cuisine and crowned “Chef of the Fest” walking away with up to $50,000 in cash & prizes and some serious bragging rights. “Chef of the Fest” entries will be accepted until October 1, 2010 or until space runs out.
