The Grand Finale to the sizzling three-day festival is the star-studded Grand Tasting Event held November 11 on the Embarcadero Park North behind Seaport Village.   Fifty San Diego Star chefs show off their culinary artistry, 30 gourmet food companies wow you with their scrumptious fare, and 150 international winemakers and spirit producers pour some of the most exciting wines and spirits on the market today.    Ticket price is $85 per person.   Also featured at this year's Grand Tasting:

Olive Oil Tasting & Competition Tent:   In this exciting tent hosted by the California Olive Oil Commission, attendees take part in a people's choice judging from gourmet olive oil producers and learn the fine art and nuances of tasting olive oil from the experts.

Celebrity Chef Showdown:   Celebrity chefs pair up in teams of two for this fast-paced showdown of culinary skill and creativity.   Chef's will have one hour to prepare three courses made from secret ingredients revealed to them only minutes before the competition begins.   A panel of celebrity judges will determine the winners of this year's culinary duel.

Cookbook Author Signing:   Celebrity chefs will be on hand in the Border's Bookstore book tent to autograph copies of their best selling cookbooks.

Fine Wine/Luxury Lifestyle Auction: A private auction open to the first 200 registrants, this auction is for the serious wine collector and wine enthusiast.   The auction will feature large format bottles, autographed and limited edition wines, luxury vacations and premium items.   An additional fee of $50 applies to attend this portion of the Grand Tasting event.   Should the attendee be a successful bidder, the $50 fee will be applied toward the silent auction purchase.

Live Entertainment:   Live musical performances will take place on both ends of the Festival.

Charity:   Proceeds from auctions at the San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival benefit the American Institute of Wine & Food (AIWF) culinary arts scholarship programs. AIWF Scholarship
