Fincher brings a coastal emphasis to Soleil @k. For nearly ten years, he has been serving up delectable creations along the Southern California coastline. With previous experience ranging from fine-dining at establishments like The Grand Del Mar Golf Club, to the larger-scale dining of Group W Events, he brings an even-blended style to this laid-back restaurant.
Recently, Fincher spearheaded the creation of Soleil @k’s new seasonally divine menu. He has had long-running relationships with many of Southern California’s farms and suppliers, helping to keep Soleil @k fresh, local, and greatly organic. Some items of particular note are the savory Ahi Tartare, infused with cucumber and mango, and the complimentary Baby Spoonleaf Spinach Salad made fresh with carmelized pecans and mandarin oranges. Soleil @k captures San Diego’s unique modern-casual lifestyle into its menu. Everything from artisan flatbreads to creative seasonal dishes, Soleil @k embodies San Diego’s diverse culture.
Fincher has lived in San Diego for 15 years with his wife and son on the sweeping Del Mar coastline. When Fincher is not firing things up in the kitchen, he enjoys the outdoors fishing or golfing. Fincher is also involved in local charitable efforts like ‘Mama’s Day,’ a fundraising event put on by Mama’s Kitchen.
