Winemaker for Robert Biale Vineyards

Steve Hall is Winemaker at Robert Biale Vineyards, Napa Valley.

Steve is dedicated to the Biale commitment to make wines that show the best qualities of the vineyard and feels privileged to work with the historic vines that are so prized at Robert Biale Vineyards.

At University of California at Berkeley, Steve studied as a field biologist.  He continued his viticulture and oenology studies at Napa Valley College and UC Davis.

Steve Hall has been involved with wineries and wine making for 27 years.  He began his career at Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars.  After an interesting educational stint as bottling manager for Monticello Cellars, Steve moved to Clos du Val, where he first met Bob Biale, Dave Pramuk, and Al Perry, the founding partners of Robert Biale Vineyards.

Steve was most recently Associate Winemaker at Jarvis Vineyards in Napa (5 years).  He was the cellar master there for eight years.

Married with two children, Steve coaches a local Cal Ripken Baseball team.
