Description:
Saturday at the Ranch-- a one-day culinary experience, fitness and spa adventure for our neighbors in San Diego and northern Baja California.

Combine Rancho La Puerta's organic farm, new Culinary Center, and our famous fitness classes and spa treatments…Olé!--a new one-day spa and culinary adventure for our neighbors in the San Diego area has debuted to rave reviews.

This Saturday experience (7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.) includes round-trip transportation from San Diego via luxury motor coach (approximately 1 hour 30 minutes). At the Ranch you'll enjoy a choice of fitness classes, a gourmet spa-cuisine lunch, free time for exploring world-class gardens, relaxing by the pool, tennis, spa treatments (additional cost), and the grand finale—a three-hour hands-on culinary experience plus dinner at La Cocina Que Canta.

Group rates are available; please call for details.

Reservations: 858-764-5500

Transportation details:
Transportation from Old Town, and return: The bus leaves promptly at 7:30 a.m. from the parking lot on the west side of Old Town Transit-Trolley Station located at 4005 Taylor Street, San Diego, CA 92110. Parking is complimentary. Entrance to the lot is off Pacific Highway. Return arrival time is approximately 8 p.m.

A note about the drive… Rancho La Puerta is reached via California State Highway 94 which runs southeast from downtown San Diego. The 22.3-mile stretch between Jamacha Junction and Tecate is a very scenic road through the mountains, but also very "curvy" in many parts. Our drivers are careful and considerate, but if you have a tendency toward motion sickness, please consider a motion-sickness medication.

Directions heading I-5 south: Take the Sea World Drive exit, stay in the right lane, turn right onto Sea World Drive, turn left onto Pacific Highway, left on Taylor Street (you will see signs for parking located immediately across the tracks, west, from the trolley station), and left on Pacific Highway to the parking lot entrance.

Directions I-5 north: Take the Old Town exit, turn right on Old Town Avenue, turn left on San Diego Avenue, turn left on Congress Street past the trolley station, turn left on Taylor Street (you will see signs for parking located immediately across the tracks, west, from the trolley station), and turn left on Pacific Highway to the parking lot entrance.

Other important info:
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: YOU MUST BRING YOUR PASSPORT

What to wear…and bring: Dress casually. Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes for walking and the hands-on cooking class. Bring a hat. Bring exercise attire and fitness shoes (if different than the shoes you wear). Our Health Centers include lockers, hot tubs, steam and sauna rooms. Cell phone use on the grounds or in classes and facilities at the Ranch is prohibited. Please respect the needs of other guests who appreciate our atmosphere of being a restful, tranquil escape.

Physical requirements: Rancho La Puerta is a place that grew over many years into a garden-path environment where walking is viewed as enjoyable exercise—and yes, you will be doing a fair amount of walking! If walking is difficult for you, or if you have trouble navigating steps, slightly uneven brick paths, rustic tile floors, and being "out in the rows" in the vegetable garden, then "Saturdays at the Ranch" is not for you. We are very sorry but we also cannot accommodate aids such as wheelchairs, walkers, scooters, etc.
