Derwayne Chesterman

Derwayne Chesterman is the third generation of barkeepers in his family and started his career at a young age working in his grandfather's pub in England. It was here that he developed his appreciation of "real ale" (British Micro Brews) and with his grandfathers encouragement obtained his BMI Cellar Masters Degree by the early age of twenty one. Wanting to further his craft and move into the world of cocktails Derwayne moved into the center of London, during the mid nineties and gravitated to the competitive world of flair bartending in London's West End. Only as he developed his knowledge of cocktails did the true "mixologist" emerge, and his thirst for more knowledge became unbound. Preferring to use fresh and/or homemade ingredients in his cocktails, and simplicity the basis of his creations, Derwayne embraces the title of mixologist. BAC accredited and president of Liquid Syndicate his motto "the bar should revolve around you, not spin" keeps him on the cutting edge of mixology.
