Rogelio Lazaro Head Chef of Buster's Beach House Seaport Village In 1994, Chef Rogelio began his career as a cook at Cafe Coyote, a popular Mexican Restaurant in Old Town, in San Diego. His love of International Cuisine also led him to work in Japanese, Italian and Chinese Restaurants, where he picked up new talents in cooking and recipe creation, and to broaden his knowledge in the kitchen working under different Chefs, before arriving at Buster's Beach House in Seaport Village. Chef Rogelio started at Buster's Beach House as a line cook, was promoted to Sous Chef in 2007, and was quickly promoted to Head Chef less than two years later. Chef Rogelio loves to create unique and flavorful recipes using the finest and freshest ingredients and exotic spices. His passion of cooking is evident as he develops new ideas for daily specials, sauces for fresh fish entrees, and recipes that promote Buster's Beach House as a unique tropical restaurant with an "Aloha" atmosphere. Recently, Chef Rogelio has taken great pride in developing and implementing his wonderfully extensive Sunday Champagne Buffet Brunch which features a wide variety of "foods from the heart" that will satisfy any complex palette. Chef Rogelio is an inspiration to his staff, and his smile, pleasant attitude, and love for cooking are evident and infectious, in everyday he spends as Chef of Buster's Beach House. |
